Off the back of his recent sold-out “Darryl and his Friends” concert, rapper Joey B gives us the visuals of hit experimental single “Green Tea”
Green Tea features reigning VGMA rapper of the year Medikal.
Causing a meltdown on social media hours after it’s release, the Babs Directions video pits Joey B and Medikal in a classic 80’s Kung Fu flick showing them clad in urban Shaolin Kung Fu outfits.
Joey B who has over the years gained notoriety for experimenting with new hybrid styles and sounds, is among the very few superstars in these parts to build a creative aesthetic around the ancient combative art-form.
“Green Tea” sees Joey B at his experimental best as he samples Chinese strings on a trap-heavy instrumental as both rappers take turns in showcasing their lyrical arsenal while unleashing “deadly” martial arts moves.
