Kingsley Q and Afrifa Get Caught in Their Feelings on ‘On The Low’

Kingsley Q

German-Ghanaian artist Kingsley Q teams up with Germany-based producer Afrifa on ‘On The Low,’ a soulful new record about the feelings we cannot easily escape.

Kingsley Q has steadily built a reputation as one of Germany’s exciting emerging independent artists, blending pop and R&B with urban-electronic and Afro influences to create a sound that feels distinctly his.

His powerful yet smooth voice has taken him from major stages and festivals to national television, while performances alongside artists such as JP Cooper, Nneka, Ruel and Tank and The Bangas have further established his presence.

His journey has also produced impressive numbers, including more than 40 million streams across platforms and over 18 million Spotify streams for “There Is No Wonderwall”.

With two EPs, major live appearances and a Listen-to-Berlin: Music Award to his name, Kingsley Q continues to build on a career defined by versatility and emotional depth.

Now, ‘On The Low’ taps into one of love’s most complicated spaces: knowing something is not right but still being unable to walk away.

The song sits in that uncomfortable gap between what the mind understands and what the heart refuses to accept.

Kingsley Q brings his soulful vocal presence to the record, giving its emotional tension a human face, while Afrifa’s production provides the backdrop for the story to unfold.

Rather than forcing a clean resolution, ‘On The Low’ embraces the uncertainty, making the song feel honest and relatable.

Sometimes the hardest thing is not recognising that something has changed it is accepting that your feelings have not changed with it.

‘On The Low’ lives right there.
