Cameroonian Afro-fusion newcomer Nzoundi Bell 1er puts family and heartfelt appreciation at the centre of his latest single, “Luv U Mom”, a touching dedication to the mothers whose love and sacrifices often speak louder than words.
Although he is only recently pursuing music as a full-time career, Nzoundi Bell 1er has spent over a decade developing his sound, writing and recording since 2014.
His musical journey began with ‘Ne pleure pas dad’, a deeply personal tribute to his father during an illness, written to offer him strength and hope.
He later explored gospel R&B through songs such as ‘J’ai besoin de ta grâce Seigneur’, ‘It’s My Time’, and ‘Yahweh Merci’.
With encouragement from his family, particularly his older brother Cyrille, Nzoundi has continued to nurture his passion.
After spending an extended period in China and receiving support from artists like Lockchou and RomyAmpayeur, he now feels ready to take his music to a wider audience.
On “Luv U Mom”, that personal approach to songwriting takes another meaningful turn.
Written and recorded independently, without the backing of a professional studio, the song came together through a natural creative process.
Drawing from his own experiences and feelings, Nzoundi celebrates the love, patience, and sacrifices mothers make for their children.
There is something refreshing about a song that comes from such a genuine place.
Beyond introducing listeners to his evolving Afro-fusion sound, “Luv U Mom” offers a simple but powerful reminder to appreciate the people whose love has helped shape our lives.
It is a heartfelt offering from an artist ready to share more of his story with the world.
