Nigerian superstars, Adekunle Gold and Naira Marley, are set to perform at this year’s NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert.
The concert which is set up in commemoration of Juneteenth, an American holiday to celebrate the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans will start from the 1st of June down till the 30th.
Nigerian acts like Fireboy DML, Tems, Davido, Tiwa Savage and Burna Boy have previously been performing acts at the concert. This is what Tiny Desk Series Producer, Bobby Carter had to say:
“We will publish eleven performances representing the past, present, and future of Black music. This is the first time each of the eleven acts will play the Tiny Desk”.
Adekunle Gold and Naira Marley will grace the NPR stage alongside acts like Usher, FKA Twigs, Monica and eight others.
