Layla Fenton shares New Beginnings on ‘Liar’

Layla Fenton Liar

The Ghanaian-Jamaican songstress, Layla Fenton shows her desire to break out of her shell after 2 years of exploring her craft.

Layla has been experimenting with different vibes and cover videos on her Instagram profile. It wasn’t long before she caught the attention of Kuvie. Since then, the two have been working on a lot of music.

‘Liar’ is a tale of trusting a lover hoping and praying her man changes his ways instead of keeping a life full of deceit. Her emotive vocals swim on a wavy groove provided by Kuvie.

The reggae/Afrobeat fusion creates a bubbly energy that uplifts the song in spite of its moody vibe. Each note ironically strings the listener’s heart; it’s almost as if you are going through what she is singing about. Kirani Ayat lends a superb 12 bar in his local dialect that sums up the jam.

This well written jam is one song you need to add to your post summer playlist.

Listen, share and jam!!!
