King Promise’s ‘5 Star’ is Currently Number 1 in Ghana

Ghanaian Highlife and Afrobeats singer, King Promise is experiencing some success with his sophomore studio album, ‘5 Star’.

King Promise released his highly anticipated ‘5 Star’ album on Friday, July 22, 2022, and it features superstars like Bisa Kdei, WSTRN, Patoranking, Frenna, Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, Headie One and Omah Lay.

According to the Legacy Life Entertainment signee, ‘5 Star’ represents developments in both personality and sound from his previous album, ‘As Promised’ released back in 2019.

The ‘5 Star’ album, in less than 24 hours of its official release, took the number spot from Burna Boy’s ‘Love, Damini’ album on Apple Music’s Ghana Album chart. Burna Boy’s album ‘Love’ Damini’ currently occupies the number two position on the chart after its release on July 8, 2022.

Prior to the release of ‘5 Star’, King Promise disclosed that the culture and people he’s spent time with recently influenced the creative process of the body of work. The album debuted on Apple Music’s Top 100 in 8 different countries.
