Life is set up in very awkward ways for a lot of our people in South Africa because of the struggling fight for freedom and this has had a ripple effect on some of the new era.
The visuals depict the life of a young woman, played by Nicole Nyaba who is living three different lives to sustain the school, a sick father’s treatment and paying the bills to keep the house lights on.
It is very sad to see what some women have to put themselves through in order to get by like stripping and prostitution and a lot of the time it’s done to support households more than self-satisfaction, yet they’re judged even before one tells their story.
This music video is a perfect indication of how society judges a book by its cover.
