Mr Eazi Announces Transition to Don Eazi on “Tony Montana” ft Tyga

Mr Eazi and Tyga

Global artist, EmpawaAfrica and Banku Music head honcho Mr Eazi links up American rap superstar Tyga on “Tony Montana”.

Making use of braggadocio, the “Scarface” inspired single sees Mr. Eazi liken himself to the fictional protagonist of the 1983 classic gangster film.

Mo gbono mo shanaa, feeling like Tony Montana

Mr. Eazi

Speaking about his new song with OkayAfrica.com, Mr. Eazi said: “The energy of the record defines where I am right now in my head. It’s like an announcement of my transition from Mr Eazi to Don Eazi.”

The Killertunes produced single aptly infuses elements of afrobeat with hip-hop, delivering a mellow yet infectious sound. Although the song is dominated by Mr. Eazi’s vocals, Tyga leaves his mark with a memorable guest verse.

“I had two possible records I wanted to do with Tyga, one uptempo and this one, and he was attracted to this one more naturally,” Mr Eazi continues. “Working with Tyga has been a true collaboration—from writing to mixing, mastering and the video—I’m learning so much from him.”

The Mahaneela directed visuals to “Tony Montana” have garnered more than a million views just 3 days into its release. Enjoy!
