All composed and co-created by Herman himself, ‘Hi I’m Herman’ is a body of work consisting of Herman Suede’s selection of 7 songs.
In the making of this 6-track project, Herman worked together with Asi Renie, and RJZ (of La Meme Gang).
This EP is to a great extent revolved around the subject ‘Not so Happily ever after’’; it deals with the harsh reality of things we encounter on a daily basis (what reality? Can you draw from any of the songs and tell a little bit more about this?), and spots accentuation upon the way that life isn’t as completely flawless as it’s delineated to be in our regular love melodies.
It is charming how Herman uses upbeat rhythms just as sweet tunes and awesome instrumentals. They overwhelm the smooth persona engaged with every melody and livens the mood.
This makes it hard to recognize that the message communicated on each song breaks away from the ‘lovey-dovey’ nature of Herman’s previously released songs.
This fine equalization passes on the message of making the best out of whatever circumstance you may find your self in regardless…. In the same sense, refusing to allow negative energy to retrogress progress in any aspect of life.
