Nigerian Musician Victony is Set to Undergo His Final Surgery

Victony

Prolific Nigerian musician Victony responsible for hits like Apollo, Kolomental and Soweto is set to undergo another surgery.

As you may already know, in the first quarter of 2021, Anthony Ebuka Victor who goes by the stage name Victony was involved in a fatal car accident on his way back from an event. His friend Doyin, unfortunately, lost his life and the rest were badly injured. Victony was quickly rushed to the hospital where he got medical attention and underwent surgery.

After a successful surgery, Victony only made public appearances in a wheelchair as he wasn’t yet ready to walk. Like many musicians before him who went through similar situations, Victony didn’t let his predicament defeat him. The accident was indeed a turning point in his life and his music career. He put out more music, got co-signed by many of his idols, collaborated, and even performed with some of them. He stood for the first time after the surgery to perform ‘Holy Father’ with Mayorkun at a Davido concert in December 2021.

Today, via his Instagram story, the superstar posted that he would be absent from the music space for a while as he would be undergoing his final surgery.

This is what he had to say:

I miss y’all & I’m tryna get it together. One more surgery, gonna be out 4 a while. Trust the pot to be hot still, serving in a bit 😉.”

We hope everything goes well with his surgery and that he comes back even stronger. Say a prayer for him.
