Marvel Music & Hollywood Records have shared the first introductory songs from the soundtrack for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the upcoming movie from Marvel Studios.
The 3-track Wakanda Forever Prologue single features Tems’ rendition of Bob Marley’s No Woman No Cry, which was featured in the official movie teaser, as well as A Body, A Coffin by Ghanaian singer Amaarae and Soy by Santa Fe Klan. The official movie teaser was released on Sunday, July 24, 2022.
Ludwig Göransson, the film’s composer, is responsible for producing all the 3 songs. He is also credited for writing A Body, A Coffin with Kyu Steed, KZ, Cracker Mallo, Maesu & Amaarae.
The soundtrack album for the first-ever Black Panther movie was curated by American rapper, Kendrick Lamar and it featured artistes such as The Weeknd, SZA, Travis Scott, Future, Khalid, ScHoolboy Q, Jorja Smith, Swae Lee, and James Blake, amongst others.
Tems is having a successful year. From winning her first BET award to collaborating with Future and Drake and recently contributing to a song off Beyoncé’s forthcoming album, ‘Renaissance’. This is is a big win for the two talented musicians and for African music as well.
The movie is scheduled for release later in November this year.
