The highly anticipated maiden Afrobeats Festival took place this weekend in Berlin, Germany.
The two-day event which was scheduled to happen from July 9-10, 2022 was headlined by Nigerian superstars Davido and WizKid. Davido headlined day 1 with WizKid headlining day 2.
This happens to be the very first edition of the festival and it was introduced to highlight and celebrate iconic individuals doing Afrobeats music. Other Afrobeats musicians who graced the stage include Sarkodie, Ladipoe, Stonebwoy, Tiwa Savage, Gyakie, Fireboy DML, Ruger, BNXN and many others.
Ayra Starr who unfortunately couldn’t make it to the event had Gyakie apologize on her behalf with a surprise “Bloody Samaritan” performance.
WizKid had his fans and music lovers singing along to some of his classic hits like Joro, Soco, Ojuelegba, and others on day 2 of the event.
