Nigerian prolific singer, songwriter and performer, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems gets her second US Platinum Plaque with Future’s ‘Wait For U’.
American rapper Future tweeted that his hit single ‘Wait For U’ off his recent album ‘I Never Liked You‘ has gone platinum. He featured Nigeria’s Tems and Canadian superstar Drake on the hit song.
Tems received her first Platinum plaque in October 2021 when she was featured on Wizkid’s ‘Essence’. The song crossed the one million sales mark.
This new milestone will make her and Wizkid the only Nigerian artistes with two US platinum plaques. Wizkid attained this achievement by featuring on Drake’s global hit ‘One Dance‘ and his international hit record ‘Essence’.
