Digital distribution service, ONErpm has just launched new offices across the continent most notably in South Africa.
This new endeavor is part of the company’s aspiration to widen its reach within Africa.
It launched operations last year in Lagos, Nigeria bringing on board homegrown music merchants like Zlatan, Bella Shmurda, Reminisce and ‘Summer Love‘ hitmaker, 1da Banton.
Osagie Osarenz, previously Nigeria’s country manager, is now director of African operations. She will spearhead the launch of ONErpm’s offices in Accra (Ghana), Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Nairobi (Kenya), Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) and Johannesburg (South Africa).
Below are the new country managers for the respective regions:
- Florence Delali Kpeglo (Ghana)
- Almah Salum (Tanzania)
- George Avakian (South Africa)
- Afi Cakpo (Francophone Africa)
- Bilha Ngaruiya (Kenya)
- Mutuma Vincent, Marketing Lead (Kenya)
Osarenz said, “Our value add in each market is eminent. Empowering the African music industry with outstanding label services and knowledge sharing across the board is what ONErpm is poised to achieve, and it’s what we’ve done since our entry.”
Martin Price, head of global expansion, also added: “We are passionate about entering and contributing to the development of these promising new markets while helping artists and content owners succeed.”
Ghanaian duo DopeNation, Ivorian sensation Shado Chris and Rwandan acts Ish Kevin and Kenny Sol were signed in line with this new development. Tanzanian musicians Rose Muhando, Goodluck Gozbert, G Nako and Mabantu are also represented as the newest additions to the ONErpm family.
