6. Pizzypresh- Follow Me Play

Nigerian Afrobeats and Afropop talent Pizzypresh presents a groovy and uplifting piece; the second project for the year. The single has elements of Nigerian pidgin; a choice of vocabulary that piques the interest of the listener as Nigerian pidgin intensifies in popularity. “Follow Me Play” draws inspiration from life in Nigeria, with diction that originates from the country. The song relates an incident of a woman captivated by money who falls into the trap of heightened expectations; a trap that has no escape this time. 7. Sylvia Lee- Fly Away

Powerful electronic dance duo Krewella (Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf) debuts another captivating and addictive tune titled “Drive Away”, a single from their latest studio album “The Body Never Lies”. The sister duo has many accomplishments and remarkable streaming numbers, highlighting their success after entering the music scene in 2012. ”Drive Away” is an alluring piece, with mind-blowing vocals and a memorable blend of beats, perfectly creating an unforgettable classic.

11. 234BABY- Bitcoin Baby

Nigerian-based singer and songwriter 234Baby specializes in a form of Afrobeats music that contains fused elements from other genres. Bitcoin Baby calls attention to the pressures of the dating scene in Nigeria, as many opt for financially strong partners; a choice that pushes a lot of strain on men who are interested in them.

12. Oumou Sangaré- Wassulu Don

From the upcoming album Timbuktu, the single “Wassulu Don” is perfection. Noted for exquisite traditional and cultural music, Oumou Sangarè adds another single to a praiseworthy profile. The single is a piece of captivating traditional music from Mali, with elements of West African music. Sangarè expresses her pride for Wassulu, her native hometown. She does it so magically that it has everyone drawn into the West African vibe despite the lyrics being in Bambara. 13. Toné Vicioso & Aumbata- Mujer del Caribe

“Mujer del Caribe” follows the release of “Amor de 11 Anos” in 2021.
