Zestful twin duo DopeNation return with a new track which is already sounding like a banger dubbed “Thank God”. The upbeat afrobeat cut sees the duo express gratitude to God for His blessings. The self-produced jam which features Kofi Kinataa marks their debut release since parting ways with Lynx Entertainment.
Wendy Shay ft Kelvyn Boy – Odo
Self-proclaimed Queen of Ghana music Wendy Shay, enlists Kelvyn Boy for newly releasdd “Odo” – her third single of the year. Produced by Genius Selection, the mid-tempo afrobeat love-duet sees the seemingly immiscible duo blend seamlessly to deliver a beautiful piece.
Twitch 4eva – Baby
Taken off his newly released 4-track debut EP “Lost”, Ground Up Chale artiste, and vocal sensation Twitch 4eva delivers a visually entracing Andy Madjitey – directed music video which flawlessly complements enchanting afro-pop love number “Baby”. Production credit on the tune goes to usual collaborator Yung D3mz.
Darkovibes ft Kwesi Arthur & Joey B – Confirmed
La Meme Gang’s Darkovibes finally serves up the visuals to “Confirmed” which happens to be one of the standout records off his well-received debut album “Kpanlogo”. Featuring A-list Ghanaian acts Kwesi Arthur and Joey B, the scenic David Duncan-directed music video was definitely worth the wait.
Freda Rhyme ft Sista Afia – Saucy
In a quitessential instance of foes turned friends, previously feuding acts Freda Rhymz and Sista Afia surprise fans with collaborative effort titled “Saucy”. Produced by Mix Master Garzy, the upbeat banger was definitely worth smoking the peace pipe over.
Kirani Ayat – Yawa
“Yawa” is Kirani Ayat’s second single release of the year. Produced by AlmightyTrei with additional vocals from rapper Akan, “Yawa” is an alternative afro-infused sound that has Ayat sees promising to change his ways, and pleading with his lover for another chance after being caught in an “entanglement”.
Kwamz – What is this?
Kwamz, one half of dynamic UK-based Ghanaian afrobeat duo Kwamz & Flava returns brand new single titled “What is this?”, following the successful release of “Again” featuring Sona. “What is this?” is bouncy summer anthem which promises to set the tone for Kwamz’ forthcoming debut solo EP set to be outdoored this autumn.
Medikal ft King Promise – Odo
Previously collaborating on smash hit “Ayekoo”, Medikal and King Promise reconnect on yet another sing-rap highlife influenced love song, this time titled “Odo”, produced by MOG Beatz. The Yaw Skyface directed music video is a stellar visual treatment of the beautiful love song.
Kuami Eugene – Open Gate
Lynx Entertainment frontline act Kuami Eugene sets the tone for the release of his highly anticipated sophomore album “Son of Africa” with newly released single titled “Open Gate”, which has poduction credits going to Willis Beatz. Do watch out for a host of surprise cameo appearances in the light-hearted Rex-directed video.
Copta – 2020
Hot on the heels of the release of his latest album, “Rosso Forever”, Accra native rapper Copta returns with a new single titled “2020”. Produced by a production duo of Moor Sound and Reezy of Eargasm, the 808 bass-heavy UK drill-styled instrumental sees the wordsmith match up with a high-energy bar-heavy freestyle flow.
Camidoh – Maria
Taken off his debut EP, “Contingency Plan” gifted vocalist Camidoh finally outdoors the J-Wills directed music video for standout single titled “Maria” produced by usual collaborator Nektunez. The afropop bop has everything we have come to expect from a Camidoh record – sweet melodies, amazing vocals and a top notch production.
Gyakie – Forever
On sentimental afro-pop number “Forever”, burgeoning songstress Gyakie reassures her lover of her feelings and loyalty. “Forever” is the second single off Gyakie’s debut “Seed” EP produced by Kros. Watch the Steven Asamoah directed music video for “Forever” below:
