10 Best Dammy Twitch-Directed Music Videos

Dammy Twitch is reshaping Afrobeats visual culture with his bold, cinematic storytelling—one music video at a time.

Born Apampa Oluwadamilola Owolabi, Dammy Twitch has grown into one of Nigeria’s standout music video directors. From his beginnings as an editor shadowing under Director Q to founding Polar Films Production and Kadiri Studios, his rise has been built on narrative precision, rhythmic camera work, and an instinctive understanding of how visuals can enhance a song’s emotional and sonic impact.

He got his first break in 2017, directing a music video for Burna Boy and Yonda’s Las Vegas remix—an impressive start that soon caught the attention of Davido. That same year, Twitch was behind the lens for Aje, a breakout collaboration that took him to Senegal. Since then, he’s become Davido’s go-to visual collaborator and one of the few Nigerian directors to work across both local and international acts, shooting for artists like Young Bleu and DaBaby.

Here are 10 of the best Dammy Twitch-directed videos that showcase the versatility and genius of one of Nigeria’s most exciting visual storytellers.

1. WTOD – DJ Kaywise ft. Naira Marley, Mayorkun & Zlatan

Released in 2021, WTOD, an acronym for “What Type Of Dance”, is a visual of motion, rhythm, and swagger. Dammy Twitch captures the essence of the track with an energetic video that places dance at the heart of every frame. The choreography, led by famed dancer Boluwatife, adds texture and electricity to the visual narrative, while each artist—Naira Marley, Mayorkun, Zlatan, and DJ Kaywise brings their signature flavor. With rapid cuts, tight angles, and contagious energy, it’s one of those videos that lives in your limbs as much as in your mind.

2. Forever (Remix) – Gyakie ft. Omah Lay

Gyakie’s Forever is already steeped in longing and sensuality, but in the hands of Dammy Twitch, the visual becomes a soft yet emotionally potent story of romantic pursuit. Omah Lay joins Gyakie in an almost dreamlike space, their chemistry unfolding in measured, soulful gestures.

3. Damn – Omah Lay

Dark, brooding, and filled with emotional weight, Damn is one of Omah Lay’s most introspective tracks and Dammy Twitch leans into its chaos with a setting steeped in contrasts and decay. Against a backdrop of urban desolation, the director constructs a visual metaphor for love that hurts and heals. Flames, shadows, and fractured spaces underline the emotional volatility of the track. It’s a sharp departure from overly glossy Afrobeats videos, and a statement piece in Twitch’s evolving style.

4. Big Baller – Flavour

With Big Baller, Dammy Twitch embraces grandeur with flair. Set amid luxury cars, golf courses, and posh interiors, the video captures the high-life celebration at the core of the song. Flavour glides through each scene with an effortless charm, accompanied by cameo appearances from Cubana Chief Priest and comedian Nasty Blaq. It’s a portrait of Eastern Nigerian wealth and flamboyance, rendered in high definition and colorful hues.

5. Woman – Simi

Simi’s feminist anthem Woman gets a fittingly bold visual treatment from Dammy Twitch. Inspired by Fela Kuti’s Afrobeat aesthetic, the video is tribute, showcasing women in various forms of presence. The visual storytelling is direct, with Simi at the center, delivering her verses like a protest leader. It’s one of Twitch’s most politically charged visuals and among his most artistic.

6. Alcohol – Joeboy

Joeboy’s Alcohol walks the line between pleasure and introspection, and Dammy Twitch masterfully blurs that line in the video. While the lyrics suggest emotional escape, the visuals give us surreal images—Joeboy drinking, battling his own thoughts, and spiraling through indulgence. It’s graphic and manages to not cross the thin line into a visual that is depressing. Twitch avoids the cliché of what Alcohol portrays and instead crafts a feel-good video laced with metaphor. It’s a visual contradiction that works beautifully.

7. FEM – Davido

Shot across the streets of Lagos and an airport hangar, FEM is peak Dammy Twitch and peak Davido. It’s a video pulsing with energy, mirroring Davido’s message of defiance and dominance. From its choreographed dance scenes to its sleek shots, everything about FEM screams OBO lifestyle; bold, brash, and meticulously branded. It’s also one of the videos that cemented Twitch’s position as Davido’s trusted visual partner.

8. Unavailable – Davido ft. Musa Keys

There’s an unmistakable chemistry between Davido and Dammy Twitch, and Unavailable is proof of their creative synergy. Shot in South Africa, the video is crisp, colorful, and choreography-heavy, perfectly complementing the track’s viral dance appeal. Dammy Twitch creates an immersive world around Davido and Musa Keys, fusing traditional textures with a contemporary flair.

9. One Trouser – Falz

Falz’s One Trouser is already a storytelling gem, and Dammy Twitch doubles down on its comedic chaos. Set on Lagos Mainland, the video dramatizes a street squabble with a mix of slapstick, satire, and cinematic flair. From street vendors to bystanders, every character plays their part in this urban theatre. It’s humorous, but it’s also a clever snapshot of Lagos life: unpredictable, loud, and full of stories.

10. Na Money – Davido ft. Angelique Kidjo & The Cavemen.

Shot in the regal interiors of a Parisian chateau, Na Money is a visual ode to cultural unity and lavish living. Dammy Twitch blends the old with the new, merging Angelique Kidjo’s timeless presence with The Cavemen’s retro-highlife feel and Davido’s luxury pop persona. The video shines through with golden undertones and rich textures.
