1. Reality TV Launched Her Career

Before she became the soulful sensation we know today, Cina Soul made her mark on Vodafone Ghana Music Icons in 2014. Competing as a finalist, she set the stage for what would become an incredible music career.

2. She’s a Mashup Queen

If you’ve followed Cina Soul from the start, you know her mashups are legendary! She’s known for seamlessly blending different songs into stunning covers, showing off her unique vocal range and artistry. 

3. She’s Not Just a Singer – She’s an Actress Too!

Cina isn’t just about the music; she has acting chops as well! In 2019, she starred in the Ghanaian hit movies Sugar (alongside KiDi) and Gold Coast Lounge (directed by Pascal AKA). She also appeared in the teen film Sugar Spice ‘N’ Sauce, proving she’s a multi-talented queen! Her role in Gold Coast Lounge even earned her an AMAA nomination for Best Young/Promising Actor in 2020.

4. Her Debut Project Dropped in 2016

Cina’s first project, Metanoia, was released in 2016, featuring heavyweights like M.anifest, Worlasi, and KiDi. With hits like Awo and Julor, the album cemented her place in Ghana’s music scene.

5. She Was Signed to Universal Music Group

In 2018, Cina Soul inked a deal with Universal Music Group. However, things didn’t go as planned. She later revealed that the label’s restrictions stifled her creativity, leading to her eventual departure.

6. She’s a Proud Ambassador of Ga Culture

Cina is a proud Ga native, and she’s made it her mission to represent her culture through her music. Her 2018 album Ga Mashi is a tribute to her roots, filled with traditional Ga influences and folk elements.

7. One of Her Biggest Hits Was Rejected by Her Label

Believe it or not, Cina’s smash hit Ojorley almost didn’t happen! Universal Music Group thought the song, which is entirely in Ga, wouldn’t be relatable. Cina took a risk, released it anyway, and the rest is history!

Cina Soul goes by the nickname ‘Kla Manye,’ which translates to “Soul Queen” in Ga. If you’ve ever heard her sing, you know this title fits her perfectly!

9. She Finally Dropped Her Debut Album After Nearly a Decade

Despite years in the industry and an impressive catalog of singles and EPs, Cina Soul finally delivered her official debut studio album, Did I Lie?, in 2025. The 12-track masterpiece showcases her signature soulful sound and boasts an all-star lineup, including Sarkodie, O’Kenneth, Mr. Drew, Sefa, OliveTheBoy, and Stonebwoy.

10. Award-Winning Music Videos

Her creative visuals have garnered significant recognition. The music video for Ojorley won the Best Photography award at the 2019 MTN 4syte TV Music Video Awards. Additionally, Killi Mi secured the Best Video of the Year at the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
