Wizkid Makes History: Africa’s First BRIT Billion Award Winner

Wizkid has an obsession with extending legacies. Just days after his iconic Tottenham Stadium show, he has achieved another groundbreaking milestone in the UK.

He was presented an award for a huge streaming milestone, one that has not been achieved by any other African artiste.

He was awarded the BRIT Billion Award by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for crossing 1 billion digital streams in the United Kingdom.

Wizkid is the first recipient of this award from Africa and the 19th artiste to be awarded this prestigious award. This has extended his feat as the most decorated Nigerian act in history increasing the numbers even more.
