UK Based Nigerian musician Anthony Adugbo who goes by the stage name Trimaces has released a new Afrobeat Tune titled “ATM“. This follows his debut single “Bimmer“.
The UK Artiste’s debut single, ‘Bimmer’, made it to the ears of popular A&Rs for the international TV show “The Voice UK“. For which he was invited to join the set for the 2019 premier on the BBC aired show.
Trimaces’ journey into music began during his time in university where he would follow his friend who was a popular artist in his school to go record, he later started to record his own songs using an iPhone app before taking a bold step to professionally record his first studio single “Bando“.
After the releases of “Bando”, I had people all over my Uni telling me they loved the song and that I should put out more songs.
Trimaces
Trimaces takes inspiration from artists like Fetty wap, Tekno, Davido and Maleek Berry.
When I first recorded “ATM” and “Bimmer“, I wasn’t so quick to release my content. I knew dropping such records at that time wouldn’t get my sound the attention I wanted. I saw the future, if you know what I mean. A time where afrobeats would have its various sub genres like Burna boy‘s Afro fusion or the Alté sounds from the likes of Boj, Santi, Prettyboy Do and most currently the afro trap vibe of the new generation from Rema, Psycho Yp amongst others. I knew it was coming and I patiently waited for this new era.
“ATM” is a song true to Tramaces’ sound and style and is guaranteed to make you dance.
