Skales outdoors all-new project “Healing Process” with lead dance anthem “Selecta” music video.
Since releasing his career-resetting album, “Man of the Year”, in 2015, years after first registering on the music landscape, Skales has been hard at work making music to soundtrack the hedonism and thrill that has both characterized and defined this generation. His catalogue is flush with club-ready bangers like “Ijo Ayo”, “Temper”, “Shake Body” and “Booty Language”.
These songs have steadily bolstered his reputation, leading to collaborations with all the major Nigerian pop stars like Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido and Major Lazer in the span of the last five years as well as concert appearances in locations as far-flung from Nigeria as the United States, Dubai, London, Muscat and Oman.
To follow up his 2018 quest that was “Mr Love”, Skales offers an oft-introspective “Healing Process” E.P which features DJ and EDM maestro, Walshy Fire and Nigeria’s Ice Prince. According to the artiste, the EP is an oral hike through years of ache, stardom-induced anxiety, overwhelming awareness, and search for peace.
The project is accompanied with a crisp video for “Selecta”— the EP’s lead dance anthem.
There are few musicians across the span of the realm who have done better than Raoul John Njeng-Njeng in the last few years and “Healing Process” is a cathartic, heartfelt release that lifts a lid on the years that he has spent in getting to his enviable position.
