Boity Becomes The First South African Female Rapper To Go Platinum

Boitumelo Thulo, known widely by her stage name Boity, is a South African television personality, and actress. She got into music professionally last year and it’s been an amazing ride so far.

Starting her rap career, she collaborated with Nasty C on her debut releases “Wuz Dat”. The song topped charts for weeks and received a lot of reviews and airplay both locally and internationally. It was accompanied by a crisp music video. It currently has 1.3 Million views on YouTube.

It’s been a year since it’s releases and “Wuz Dat” is still making waves. She got featured on Stogie T’s “Verse of the Month list”.

Boity has been announced to be the first female rapper in South Africa to go platinum with her debut release which garnered 3.4 million streams on digital streaming platforms.

Boity has a new single in the pipeline titled “Own Your Throne” which we are excited about.
