Award-wining Nigerian musician Davido surprises his fans and music lovers with an unexpected announcement on social media.
The 29-year-old Afrobeats icon, who recently made history as the first African artiste to headline the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, took to his official Twitter page yesterday, Tuesday, June 14, 2022, to announce that he has an impending collaboration with CKay and Focalistic scheduled to drop on Thursday, June 16, 2022.
As if that was not enough, the singer then disclosed that a week after, he will release his very much anticipated record with American rapper DaBaby.
2022 has been a very active year for the musician whose real name is David Adeleke. Early this year, he collaborated on Hayya Hayya (Better Together), the official soundtrack for FIFA World Cup 2022, and then later released Stand Strong featuring The Samples.
This is what he had to say:
“In 2 days me @ckay_yo and @FOCALISTIC drop the biggest club banga #watawi ! Then a week after me and @DaBabyDaBaby drop the song of the summer !“
