Rema, Amarachi Nwosu among six Nigerians on Forbes Africa’s “30 Under 30” list

Nigerian singer Rema, CEO of Melanin Unscripted Amarachi Nwosu are among six Nigerians listed in the 2021 edition of Forbes Africa’s “30 Under 30”.

Forbes ’30 Under 30′ is an annual listicle curated by Forbes magazine that spotlights young individuals making an impact in business, sports and the entertainment industry.

The business magazine released the sixth edition of the Forbes ’30 Under 30′ on Tuesday 1st June, 2021. It features Africans under the age of 30 who are tech experts, sports stars, as well as creative entrepreneurs who are leading the continent of Africa.

To curate this list, the Forbes team sifted through numerous nominations for innovative individuals who have shown ingenuity and perseverance towards contributing to the African growth story following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The list was then validated by SNG Grant Thornton, the magazine’s audit partner.

Other individuals who made the list include Master KG, Wale Lawal, Cleo Johnson and Antonio Depina.

Burna Boy, Davido and Wizkid are among other Nigerians who have made the list in the past.

  • Ifan Ifeanyi Michael – Creative artist & filmmaker.
  • Timilehin Bello – CEO and Founder of Media Panache.
  • Temidayo Oniosun – Founder of Space in Africa.
  • Amarachi Nwosu – self-taught visual artist, storyteller, and CEO of Melanin Unscripted.
  • Divine Ikubor (also known as Rema) – Musician.
  • Wale Lawal – Founder and Editor-In-Chief of The Republic.

Ghana: 

  • Sepenica Darko – Founder of FarmerTribe Company

South Africa:

  • Cleo Johnson – Founder & Director of NUECLEO.

Zimbabwe: 

  • Shakemore Timburwa – Founder of Energy Plus.
