Ghana Loses Highlife Great Nana Tuffuor

Ghanaian Highlife great Nana Tuffuor has died at the age of 66.

According to reports the musician passed on in the early hours of Monday 15th June 2020 at home after battling with a short illness.

Affectionately nicknamed “9-9-2-4” by music lovers, the highlife veteran made a comeback in 2018 with single titled “Abasa Kon Mu”.

Nana Tuffuor started out his music career as an understudy to one Ghana’s best keyboardist of all-time Alex Konadu popularly known as “One-Man Thousand”.

Renowned for his unique voice and witty lyrics the ace musician has over 15 albums to his credit, with 2003’s released single “Abeiku” off album album of the same title undoubtedly his biggest hit record till date. Other Nana Tuffuor hits include Aketekyiwa (1991), Owuo Sei Fie (1991) and Asaa (1984).
