Shatta Wale Becomes First African Artist to lead a Jamaican Dancehall Compilation Project

Self-proclaimed African Dancehall King Shatta Wale has become the first African Artist to lead a Jamaican Dancehall compilation project dubbed “Tropical House Cruises To Jamaica“.

The 25-track album, digitally released by Contractor Music Group (based in Ocho Rios, Jamaica) and distributed by Atlanta-based Amada Records under the EAE Management Group is set to feature top international reggae and dancehall acts such as Vybz Kartel, Capleton, Sizzla, Peetah Morgan, Wayne Wonder, Tommy Lee Sparta, Beenie Man, Elephant Man and many more.

Shatta Wale confirmed his feature on the album as he posted the album cover artwork and tracklist on his Instagram profile.

The musical project was curated and spearheaded by popular British Artist, Jethro Sheeran (cousin of multiple Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran) who happened to be also featured on the project.

Jethro also took to his Twitter to acknowledge Shatta Wale‘s unprecedented feat.
