“I want to take my time on my next project. My next project is going to be R&B, my first love. It’s not R&B Afrobeats but R&B,” Tiwa Savaged shared.

Tiwa Savage, a former participant on the UK edition of The X Factor reality program, emerged into the Nigerian mainstream in 2012, with an R&B sound that displayed her Western inspirations, and captivated audiences. Listeners may expect her forthcoming album to bring back memories of her debut record, ‘Once Upon A Time,’ as she returns to R&B. Her last released project in 2021, the ‘Water & Garri’ EP, which featured the hit single ‘Somebody’s Son’ with Brandy.

The Queen of Afrobeats is having a terrific 2023, which has seen her release a string of hit singles and make history with her performance at King Charles III’s Coronation ceremony. The songstress is also due to play at the OVO Wembley Arena, where she will be the first female Afrobeats artist to headline the 13,000-capacity venue.
