The University of Kent to Present Tiwa Savage with an Honorary Degree

Multiple award-winning singer-songwriter and performer Tiwa Savage is set to be awarded an honorary doctorate degree from her alma mater, the University of Kent on July 15, 2022.

The singer who is currently on her ‘Water & Garri’ tour was announced to be among ten distinguished individuals to be honored during the University of Kent‘s congregation ceremonies at Canterbury and Rochester cathedrals.

The ceremonies will take place at Canterbury from 11-15 July and Rochester on 20 July.

According to a statement from the institution, the singer will receive a Doctor of Music degree in honor of her inspirational and influential music career.

Tiwa Savage studied Business Administration at the University of Kent before moving on to study music at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, United States.
