Fast-rising Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems has hit a new record on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This comes after her fifth entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
This comes via Beyonce’s ‘Move’ debuting at number 55 on the chart as of yesterday August 8, 2022, making her the only Nigerian artiste to achieve this feat.
The song ‘Move’ which is off Beyoncé’s recent album, ‘Renaissance’ becomes Tems’ fifth entry after she was featured on Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ which peaked at number 9, Drake’s ‘Fountain’, and Future’s ‘Wait For U’ which debuted at number 1.
She also bagged her first solo entry recently with her 2020 single, ‘Free Mind’ which debuted at number 90 on July 25, 2022.
The talented songbird is enjoying a great run so far, she recently won the Best New Act at the 2022 BET Awards and has now broken her tie with fellow Nigerian megastar, WizKid for previously holding the record for the most Billboard Hot 100 entries by a Nigerian artiste.
