Tems is the First Nigerian Artiste to Debut No.1 on the Billboard 100

Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems has made history as the first Nigerian artiste to debut No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with her feature on Future’s Wait For U.

The song ‘Wait For You’ which also features Drake appeared on Future’s LP album ‘I Never Liked You,’ and debuts at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 happens to be Future’s second, Drake’s tenth, and Tems’ first.

Her collaboration with Wizkid last year on the ‘Essence’ obtained her a Billboard Top 10 hit. The talented singer is now the first Nigerian to have two songs on Billboard’s top ten list.
