Following the release of his 5th studio album GRACE and a run of dynamic singles, DJ Spinall returns with the remix for ‘Sere’ ft Fireboy DML with additional vocals from 6lack.
The triple-Grammy Award-nominated US alt-R&B singer, rapper and songwriter 6lack adds some extra heat to the track that has already proved to be a massive hit. The remix comes hot on the heels of the release of the sun-infused, stylized visuals for the album version of ‘Sere’ which was released earlier this year and has already racked up well over a million views.
Released in December, amassing almost 70 million streams across all platforms and earning widespread acclaim from a slew of outlets, GRACE is an ambitious 15-track project which has the singles ‘Everytime’ ft Kranium, ‘Dis Love’ with Tiwa Savage and Wizkid and a host of other top established and rising acts from Nigeria and across the world such as Omah Lay, Niniola, WurlD, Shaybo, Benjiflow, Oxlade and more.
Spinall first gained prominence in 2004 as a radio broadcaster, before going on to launch the label and management company TheCAPMusic in 2014 when he released the Burna Boy assisted hit single ‘Gba Gbe E’ which featured on his debut album ‘My Story’ alongside breakthrough singles such as ‘Oluwa’ and ‘Money’. Constantly pushing boundaries as a world-class musician and tastemaker, in 2015 he became the first African DJ to perform at the SXSW festival. In 2017 he was the official DJ for the BET Awards in LA and in 2019 he became the first Nigerian DJ to perform at Glastonbury Festival – the same year he performed a sold-out headline show at XOYO in London. He has also toured across several US cities including New York, Miami, Austin and Washington DC.
Currently riding the massive waves he has been creating with GRACE and with even more new visuals and music to come throughout the year and his brand new #SmirnoffInfamousMix podcast series, Spinall is set to continue his journey as one of music’s brightest stars in 2021 and far beyond.
