Social & Domestic Records (S&D), a known name in Nigeria’s music industry, launches into 2024 with their electrifying new single, “Untouchable.”
This track showcases the talents of rising stars Portable, Dabuilda, and Gem, who each bring their unique energy and vocal styles to the mix. Produced under the direction of Olatunbosun Akande, also known as Teeboz, “Untouchable” is a bold and fresh anthem that highlights S&D’s commitment to producing innovative music that resonates with listeners.
Established in 2006 in Sydenham, South London, Social & Domestic Records was born from a deep love for Nigerian music and a desire to elevate the country’s grassroots talent. Influenced by legendary artistes like Baba Fryo and Daddy Showkey, the label has dedicated itself to nurturing emerging musicians and guiding them toward mainstream success. Their journey began with the release of “Small Beginning,” the debut album by the duo Jblack, and since then, S&D Records has grown to become a key player in the Nigerian music scene.
Over the years, S&D Records has expanded its reach, organizing events in Nigeria, the UK, Ghana, and Dubai, while also venturing into music production, promotion, and artiste management. The label has collaborated with notable figures such as Rugged Man, Mr. Real, Oritse Femi, and Daddy Fresh, and has worked with top producers like P2J, who has contributed to projects like Wizkid‘s “Made in Lagos.” The label’s success is further evidenced by its current roster, which includes AYOBAMII, Daizy Kash, Dabuilda, Gem, and M-B-W, all of whom are making significant strides in the industry.
Looking ahead, Social & Domestic Records shows no signs of slowing down. With upcoming releases from M-B-W and Daizy Kash, the label continues to push the boundaries of Nigerian music, ensuring that the best talent is brought to the forefront of the global stage. “Untouchable” is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting year for S&D Records and its artistes.
