Linda Mkhize, more formally known as ‘ProKid’ passed away on August 8, 2018 evening while visiting family and friends.
A statement from the family stated, “He suffered a severe seizure attack, paramedics did their best to revive him to no avail.”
ProKid leaves behind his wife, Ayanda and his 3-year old daughter Nonkanyezi.
His family has requested that the media give them privacy as they deal with this sensitive time.
ProKid was known to be a pioneer in the SA Hip Hop movement in getting it to what it is today and his music will continue to live on forever. He inspired a generation of rappers including Cassper Nyovest.
