Veteran Nigerian Rapper M.I Abaga Reveals Plans on Retiring his Stage Name

Nigerian rapper M.I Abaga announced his plans on retiring his stage name in preparation for his next album which is scheduled to drop in August.

The renowned rapper took to his official Instagram page yesterday July 7, 2022, to make this announcement.

He wrote in the post: “After over 15yrs as Mister Incredible, I will be retiring the name “MI Abaga” and taking on a new name for my project bcuz, my new Album hard AF and it deserves a new name”.

He further disclosed that his last act as M.I Abaga will be on 10th July 2022 at “The Vibe”, where he will be celebrating his 15-year legacy as Africa’s greatest rapper.

This announcement comes after the release of his collaborative album project with A-Q, Loose Kaynon, and Blaqbonez titled “Behold the Lamb“.

M.I Abaga came into the limelight in 2006 when his song, ‘Crowd Mentality’, became one of the most popular songs in Jos, Nigeria. He followed up with his debut studio album “Talk About It” in 2008 and continued to chalk up one victory after another in the music industry.
