Amapiano Duo Major League DJz nominated for BET Awards 2022

After signing to Atlantic Records, Major League DJz‘ plans to send Amapiano across the globe are picking up steam.

Major League DJz have just been nominated in the Best International Act category at this year’s BET Awards. Other artistes in the category include Nigerian rising stars Tems and Fireboy DML, Little Simz, Ludmilla and TayC from France.

They posted the good news on Twitter earlier today saying:

MOMMY YOUR BOYS ARE NOMINATED FOR A @BET AWARDSPIANO TO THE WORLD

American rapper Doja Cat leads with six nominations, while Ari Lennox and Drake follow closely with four nominations each.

This year’s event will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on 26 June and hosted for the second time by actress and singer, Taraji P. Henson. She said, “I am honoured to return as the host of the BET Awards and share the stage with so many powerful and prolific artists; you can even say it is the ‘empire’ of black excellence.
