L.A.X Releases Music Video for the Ayra Starr Assisted ‘Options’

L.A.X and Ayra Starr Options

Lagos singer L.A.X releases the official video for recent hit single “Options” alongside breakout musician, Ayra Starr.

Directed by Perliks Definition, the video is reflective of a traditional love story captured in a stylish setting, fusing avant-garde and traditional elements in both the set-design and styling. Celebrating his full sonic range, “Options” is an impactful start to the year setting a precedent for L.A.X’s upcoming plans including his first UK headline show in May.

Globally known for his signature fusion of Afrobeats, Afropop and Ampaiano, L.A.X has consecutively proven his musical abilities. His boundary-breaking masterpiece “Zaza Vibes” cemented his name on a worldwide scale, with lead single ‘Sempe’ responsible for 30M streams on Spotify alone. Having worked with some of the most sought-after artists including Davido, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Mr Eazi, Maleek Berry, Simi and more, L.A.X continues to grow his own independent label, Rasaki Music.

Ending 2021 on a high, he released an extended version of his sophomore album “Zaza Vibes” restating the project’s cultural significance which included a new collaboration with Afrobeats leader Bella Shmurda. Late last year, L.A.X returned to the UK post-release to perform numerous intimate shows and host studio sessions with Pa Salieu, Not3s and more. On top of this and reflecting his honest intentions, L.A.X has been developing his very own Zaza Foundation dedicated to giving back to the community in his native.
