Afrobeat Titans Davido, Mr Eazi and Tiwa Savage Takeover Billboard’s Latest Issue

The cover story of Billboard magazine’s latest issue is dubbed “Africa Now” and features afrobeat superstars Davido, Mr Eazi and Tiwa Savage talking about the afrobeat genre taking over the global music stage.

In exclusive interviews with Billboard the three superstars speak on the global impact of the genre, and how they are setting up Africa to be the centre of attraction, causing the global music industry to come to Africa as opposed to Africa chasing after them.

The trio also discuss a wide array of topics ranging from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, attracting investors to the African music scene, and stereotypes they have to deal with on the global stage as Africans, amongst other pertinent issues.

The feature also highlights the individual exploits of the featured acts, touching on the fact that both Davido and Tiwa Savage have scheduled album releases for later this year.

Billboard Magazine’s latest issue is testament to the fact that the global acceptance of the afrobeat genre is not a fad, and is certain to ignite excitement within afrobeat fans the world over!
