Multifaceted Nigerian musician DaMi is out with his debut single since 2021 titled “In The Night” featuring Malawian songstress Thandi Marie.

The track, produced by London-based producer Ian Holmes, was released on 31st March 2023, and is a must-listen for music lovers. DaMi, who hails from Osun State but grew up in Ibadan and Lagos, started making music in high school, initially as a hobby. However, he took a leap of faith in 2020 to become a recording artiste and hasn’t looked back since.

As an independent artiste, DaMi takes pride in producing quality content that listeners can enjoy and connect with on a personal level. He draws inspiration from artists like Santan Dave, Omah Lay, and Sarz, and aims to create music that is authentic, relatable, and enjoyable.

“In The Night” is part of DaMi’s upcoming debut EP, which he is working on collaboratively with Ian Holmes. The song was a product of a freestyle session between him and Thandi Marie, where they explored different melodies and lyrics that capture the vibes of the night.

Speaking to Unorthodox Reviews, he said, “In The Night was a collaboration between myself, Thandi Marie, and producer Ian Holmes. Initially, this was a freestyle started by Thandi Marie. We were just having fun and playing around with different lyrics, melodies, and some of the vibes that come through during the night. The song felt too good to leave in the drafts and we wanted to share it with our listeners.”

DaMi hopes that listeners will enjoy the song and take a chance on his upcoming EP. As an emerging artist, he is excited to share his journey and growth with the world, and he believes that his music will resonate with fans across the globe.
