Tems and Burna Boy make Spotify’s 2022 Songs of Summer predictions List

Tems

Nigerian musicians Burna Boy and Tems were the only Nigerian artistes whose songs made it onto Spotify’s 2022 Songs of Summer predictions List.

Spotify listed Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last’ and ‘WAIT FOR U’, Tems’ collaboration with Future and Drake together with other songs as part of their ‘2022 Songs Of Summer predictions list.

Stating the basis used in selecting the songs, Spotify made an official statement saying;

To determine this list of songs, which we predict will be on repeat over the next three months, our curation teams pay attention to a number of factors, including the track’s current trajectory and cultural impact, combined with forecasting based on prior years’ knowledge of what tends to pop throughout the summer. But we also took this moment to see what other summer trends are emerging as people start to enjoy more fun in the sun.
