Burna Boy’s ‘Love, Damini’ Gets an Exclusive Listen in New York

Nigerian singer Burna Boy held an exclusive listening party for his upcoming album ‘Love, Damini’ in New York yesterday Tuesday, June 14, 2022.

The album, which is set to be released on July 2 just in time for his 31st birthday, will be the African Giant’s sixth studio album, a follow-up to the Grammy-winning “Twice As Tall“.

Ahead of his album release, the Grammy award-winner announced dates for his Summer 2022 Love, Damini Tour scheduled to kick off from Sunday, July 17 to Sunday, July 31.

Burna Boy had this to say at the beginning of the event:

This is Love, Damini. This is a personal album. Damini is my government name given to me by my beautiful mother…In my dialect, it means, ‘It’s mine like it’s my own“.

Comedian Elsa Majimbo, rapper Dave East, CEO of Duke Concept Osita Ugeh, Burna Boy’s mother Bose Ogulu were all present alongside a few other people.
