Bellah Prioritises Her Peace on Sons of Sonix’s “Motion Sickness”

Sons Of Sonix

Sons of Sonix releases “Motion Sickness” featuring Bellah, an Afro-R&B anthem emphasizing the need to prioritize mental well-being in draining relationships.

Renowned UK production duo Sons of Sonix, also known as SoS, have once again graced the music scene with their latest Afro-R&B creation, ‘Motion Sickness’. Collaborating with the talented British/Nigerian singer-songwriter Bellah, the track is a mesmerizing blend of soulful R&B and infectious Afro rhythms that captivate listeners from the first note.

In ‘Motion Sickness’, Sons of Sonix and Bellah effortlessly fuse their creative energies to craft a sumptuous Afro-laced R&B soundscape. Bellah’s intimate vocals beautifully complement the rich instrumentation, resulting in a powerful anthem that celebrates authenticity and self-love. The song serves as a sneak peek into the duo’s upcoming solo project titled ‘Timezones and Tylenol’, inspired by their experiences living between LA, London, and Lagos.

The narrative of ‘Motion Sickness’ delves into the journey of self-acceptance and setting boundaries. It explores the struggle of prioritizing others over oneself and the toll it takes on personal well-being. As the song progresses, there’s a poignant shift where the protagonist decides to prioritize their own needs, even if it means losing connections. It’s a profound reflection on the sacrifices required to embark on the path towards self-discovery and fulfillment.

For Sons of Sonix, consisting of members Mikey and Moses, their Nigerian heritage deeply influences their musical journey. Drawing from their rich cultural background and experiences, they infuse their music with a unique blend of creativity and discipline. Their dedication to nurturing talent and fostering artistic growth is evident through their involvement in studio camps and workshops in Lagos, where they mentor emerging artistes and contribute to the vibrant Nigerian music scene.
