South African hip-hop prodigy and Def Jam signee Nasty C says Hip Hop gave him a voice to speak for a generation.
The 23-year old began his music journey 7 years ago. Since his introduction to the music scene with his debut mixtape — “One Kid a Thousand Coffins” — which he released in 2013— the multi-talented rapper has continued to evolve, surpassing his idols and becoming one of the most sought after rappers in Africa.
In an interview with Spotify dubbed “From South Africa to New York, Rapper Nasty C Is Making a Global Impact“, the rapper who was inspired by T.I spoke about how Hip Hop has impacted his life.
Without hip-hop, I don’t know how I would’ve made it to where I am right here. It’s given me a voice. It’s given me the confidence to speak on certain things, to speak for a generation.

Nasty C has confirmed he is 90-percent done with his most anticipated album. Unlike “Bad Hair” and “Strings and Bling“, he says his third studio album “Zulu Man With Some Power” will sound more African. The body of work was executive produced by veteran hip hop and R&B producer— No I.D. His idol T.I makes a guest appearance on it. Early this year, the two rappers collaborated on “They Don’t“, a song where we hear both rappers address social injustice in their respective countries.
