1. Phyno – Full Current (ft Tekno)
Nigerian rapper Phyno has dropped his first single of the year and he features fellow Nigerian singer, Tekno. The new single titled, ‘Full Current‘ was produced by Yung Willis. The duo delivered captivating flows on the track which talks about the need to treat women as queens and to go all in when you are interested in a lady.
2. Lyta – Bee
Nigerian singer and songwriter, Lyta is back into the music scene with a new single titled ‘Bee.’ The song serves as Lyta‘s fifth official single of the year and also serves as a follow-up to his previous single, ‘Flex‘ released back in May. The Amapiano-infused track is a danceable tune and deserves to make your weekend playlist.
3. DJ Tunez – Bad Girl (ft Wande Coal & Victony)
Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Tunez has released a new single titled ‘Bad Girl’ and it features fellow Nigerian superstars, Wande Coal and Victony. The song serves as a follow-up to his previously released single, ‘Fire Di Party’ featuring Nigerian singer, AV. The two singers delivered perfectly on the song with their melodic flows. ‘Bad Girl’ is off DJ Tunez’s upcoming ‘Cruise Control’ EP scheduled for release soon.
4. Kido Madiba – Absence
New Def Jam Africa signee Kido Madiba shares a new single titled ‘Absence’. In the Afrobeats song, the singer reflects on a past relationship and talks about how much he misses his lover. ‘Absence’ is a great song and it deserves to be on your playlist.
5. Tito Da.Fire – One Day
Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer, Tito Da.Fire has released a brand new song titled ‘One Day’ in preparation for the release of his upcoming 3rd studio album. In the song, the singer inspires the youth to be patient and never give up. “One day the sun will rise for your end…..One day you go make it to the end”. In the song, Tito also praises Nigerian superstars like Fela, 2baba, Don Jazzy, Olamide, and many more for contributing to the growth of Nigerian and African music.
6. E’Major – Freaky Friday (ft Wande Coal)
Nigerian singer and record producer, E’Major has released a new song titled “Freaky Friday” featuring popular and talented Nigerian singer, Wande Coal. The Amapiano earworm is a banger that deserves a spot on your weekend playlist. As the title suggests, the song sets the tone for a fun Friday night out.
7. Jaywillz – Till Dawn
Talented Nigerian singer and rising star Jaywillz has released a new banger titled Till Dawn. The singer has been on top of his game since the release of his hit single, ‘Medicine’. Jaywillz delivered his signature soothing melodic vocals on the Xtofa-produced song.
8. Carterefe & Berri-Tiga – Machala
Popular Instagram comedian, Carterefe has released his debut single titled, ‘Machala’ featuring rising singer, Berri-Tiga. The comedian is well known for his obsession with WizKid and to that effect, released his debut single, ‘Machala’ which is one of the popular monikers of WizKid. Carterefe dropped the snippet of the song a few days prior to its official release. It currently has over 151,000 videos on TikTok, and over 67,000 shazams and is also the number 1 song on Apple Music’s Nigerian songs chart.
9. Tems – No Woman No Cry
Talented Nigerian singer Tems has been in the headlines this past week for her great achievements. Earlier this week, she was announced as one of the acts to be featured on the soundtrack for the sequel of Marvel Studios’ movie, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘. Tems did a rendition of Bob Marley’s classic song, “No Woman No Cry” and as expected, she delivered a soothing performance.
