African Superstars Yemi Alade and Angélique Kidjo Team Up for Vibrant ‘Shekere’ Video

Just off the heels of winning yet another GRAMMY Award for ‘Best World Music Album’, legendary Beninese singer-songwriter teams up with superstar Nigerian recording artist Yemi Alade to produce vibrant visuals to upbeat new single dubbed ‘Shekere’.

A celebration of East African culture, the Ovie Etseyatse-directed video sees both divas dressed in full traditional East African regalia and also spots vibrant scenes of animate traditional dancers.

‘Shekere’ is taken off Yemi Alade’s 2019 ‘Woman of Steel’ album.
