This year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), coming off on August 29, is set to be broadcast in over 170 countries which include Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa.
The event which promises to reach more than 420 million households, will be held at the famous Prudential Center in New Jersey. This massive show, aired across MTV’s linear and digital platforms, will showcase top performances and a capacity-filled audience cheering their stars on.

Last year’s edition held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn featured Nigerian Afrobeats star Wizkid, who won the Best Cinematography Award for his collaborative work with Beyonce on ‘Brown Skin Girl‘, arguably one of the top tracks of “The Lion King: The Gift” album. The winners’ list also had, Lil Nas X, Justin Beiber, BTS and Olivia Rodrigo.
