Joeboy Releases “Call”, a Sci-fi Romance Flick

Joeboy

Nigeria’s Joseph Akinfenwa Donus, well known as Joeboy releases a TG Omori directed music video for “Call”, the first single off his impending album.

We are just days into the second quarter of a rather ominous year and amidst all the problems of the fatal pandemic, there are still a few things that help keep us sane like good music. Some artists and entertainers are going the extra mile, putting in work to make sure their fans are entertained. One of these artists is Joeboy, a musician under Mr Eazi‘s emPawa umbrella.

Call” is a love song where Joeboy assures a lady of his love, asking her to fully trust in him and to call on him in times of trouble. TG Omori’s short Sci-fi romance flick suits the song perfectly. Joeboy plays the protagonist, rescuing a lady who gets trapped on a school bus amid an approaching storm.

We first got a feel of the gifted Nigerian musician in 2018 when he featured Mr Eazi on Faaji, a jumpy song with colorful visuals. Although Faaji wasn’t a big hit, it helped prep his listeners for what was yet to come. In 2019, he released the Dëra, produced “Baby” and solidified his foundation in the Nigerian music industry. “Baby” went on to secure a number of award nominations.

“Call”, also produced by Dëra, is a beautiful love song you need to update your playlists with.
