Clout Africa Awards DJ of the Year DBN Gogo, has been awarded a spot as one of the six African artistes on Spotify’s global batch of RADAR artistes.
The programme is dedicated to the discovery of emerging artistes from different parts of the globe. The new cohort is entitled to support from Spotify through their editorial, on-and-off platform services – broadcasting their music, thus expanding their audiences and fan bases.
DBN Gogo joins other artistes from Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria, namely: Black Sherif, Buruklyn Boyz, Victony, Ayra Starr and BNXN.
Spotify South Africa tweeted:

Phiona Okumu, Head of Music, Spotify Africa, through a company press release said, “It gives me so much joy to bring back our RADAR Africa programme and to do so within a deservingly bigger and better format. It is so important that we continue to identify and find ways to offer developing artistes a fair chance at success on and off-platform.“
Previous South African artistes to have benefited from the programme are Willy Cardiac, Focalistic and Elaine, who joined in 2020.
