South African House Music DJ, Citizen Deep has been outdoored as Apple Music’s new Isgubhu cover artiste.
This coincides with the release of ‘Umhlaba Wakho’, off his upcoming album, ARCADE 2 – the sequel to his debut album.
The cinematic edge that encapsulated the previous 12-track production is sure to continue in the next project, set to be released on 29th July.
Commenting on his exclusive playlist feature, Citizen Deep said, “What an honour to be able to share some of my favourite tracks with you. Thank you Apple Music. My Isgubhu playlist on Apple Music is filled with various young South African producers. While exploring the playlist, you will definitely connect and understand the different types of Sgubhu we have to offer. What a vast variety of dance music we have as a nation.”
Previous Isgubhu Cover artistes include Aymos, Coco Em, Zakes Bantwini and Mellow & Sleazy.
The playlist is described as an insight into Mzansi’s new breed of DJ’s and producers.
