American entertainment media brand and the world’s biggest music data portal Billboard has named Lynx Entertainment as Ghana’s sole music industry gatekeepers in Africa.
Sharing a list of Africa’s gatekeepers, singer-songwriter, record producer and CEO of Lynx Entertainment Richie Mensah was mentioned together with his label. Lynx Entertainment is the only Ghanaian music outfit which made the list in the company of the likes of Aristokraft Group, Chocolate City group, both from Nigeria, Wasafi Classic Baby from Tanzania just to name a few.
According to BillBoard these gatekeepers are companies, entrepreneurs and executives making music deals and driving the continent’s burgeoning business. Check the full list here.
Founded in 2007, Lynx Entertainment is currently the home of A-list Ghanaian acts Kuami Eugene and Kidi. The label is renowned for it’s “midas touch”, with every act on it’s roster attaining an A-list status on the Ghanaian music scene. Talents the label has churned out over the years include: Asem, OJ Blaq, Richie Mensah himself, Irene Logan, Feli Nuna, Eazzy, Zigi and Mzvee amongst others.
