Asake Sells Out O2 Arena Ahead of Milestone Concert

Asake

Nigerian singer Asake has sold out his concert at the O2 Arena in London, making him the latest African artist to achieve this feat.

The global dominance of Afrobeats can be attributed to several key factors, including the music’s widespread appeal, consistent presence on major international charts, substantial global streaming numbers, and notably, the spectacular live shows.

Afrobeats artists have undeniably left their mark on the international scene, triumphantly filling prestigious arenas and stadiums worldwide, including Ziggo Dome, Tottenham Stadium, and London Stadium, to mention just a few.

Among these renowned venues, the O2 Arena holds a special significance for Afrobeats artists. Asake has now achieved a remarkable milestone by joining the ranks of elite Afrobeats acts who have successfully sold out this massive 20,000-capacity arena.

The Asake Live in London Concert, scheduled for August 20th, 2023, at the O2 Arena, was only recently announced, and in the span of 2 months entire arena’s tickets have been snapped, a testament to Asakie’s mass appeal especially in the UK. This accomplishment places him as the fourth Nigerian artist to successfully sell out the O2 Arena, following in the footsteps of Wizkid (5 times), Davido (twice), and Burna Boy (once).

Asake’s reaction to learning he’s successfully sold out the O2 Arena was priceless. In a video circulated on social media, an evidently elated Asake exuded his unmistakable “Mr. Money” flair, all while maintaining his signature composed and cool demeanor.

This accomplishment stands as a notable achievement, particularly given that Asake has reached this milestone within just under two years since his emergence in the spotlight. Asake’s career trajectory and accomplishments have been nothing short of spectacular, capturing the admiration and awe of the entire Afrobeats community.

As the highly anticipated O2 Arena concert approaches rapidly, excitement is building for the grand performance by none other than Mr. Money himself. The stage is set for an unforgettable and enthralling experience that is bound to leave a lasting impression on everyone present.
